Had a lot of thing going on so haven't been able to get to my ATC's for a while. One of the things that was time consuming was the picture of North Landing at Flamborough which you can see on my other blog Flamblogger. Then we got new carpeting and that was time consuming also. We have also had company quite a few times. So now I'm hoping that I'll get back to doing a few more ATC's and a little more frequently.

I have been wanting to do a painting (fairly large) of a donkey and fishermen from my village. I have pretty much given up painting with water colors, because I like to do very detailed work and my hand is not steady enough when using a brush any more. So I decided to do an ATC of a donkey's head with Prisma Colors and it came out quite well. But to do a painting , say 8x10, seemed a large space to fill with colored pencils. Then I had the brainwave of combining the two media. Now I am about two thirds of the way through and when I have finished it, which may take a week, I will publish it on my Flamblog, (see side bar for link) where I will explain more of what I did. In the meantime here is Dombey the Donkey.

Puffins can be seen at Flamborough Head when they are nesting, then they go out to sea for the rest of the summer. We did manage to see a couple when we were there in June, even though the weather was so
bad and we were lucky to see any at all. But they are such
cute and comical birds.
